Q: How long have you been an IPLAC member?
A: Since I was a law student back in 2013/2014. Shout out to Professor Ho for introducing me to the organization!
Q: Tell us about your practice…
A: I do everything trademarks – litigation and enforcement, clearance work, prosecution, counseling. In addition to the trademark work, I do copyright, false advertising, anticounterfeiting and consumer fraud litigation as well as marketing and advertising review and counseling.
Q: What’s your favorite part of being an IPLAC member?
A: The community it builds and the people you meet. I started as a law student and knew no one! Networking events were very intimidating at first, but everyone is there to support each other. Slowly over time, I moved up the ranks at IPLAC and am now slated to be President in 2026/2027.
Q: How did you get into IP?
A: I actually started back in high school and college working summers and holiday breaks at my Dad’s IP boutique. That got me interested in trademarks in the first place.
Q: What are you currently listening to/watching/reading/doing?
A: Not a whole lot because I have 4 kids and a busy practice! Otherwise, I am still keeping up with Grey’s Anatomy. That show has gotten me through many stages of my life!
Q: Cubs/Sox/Just the hotdogs?
A: Cubs and hotdogs with all the Chicago toppings!
